jump-start to the New You!

There may not be one particular eating plan that works for everyone but there are definitely certain eating strategies that will guarantee success for all. So, I have put together a slimming programme that will give you a jump-start and get you out of your high-fat eating rut. There is no weighing or calorie counting. Try to eat 3 meals a day, with 3 small snacks in between meals if you are hungry. What I am offering you is not a miracle, you will need to be determined and have commitment, combine this with the Personal Training sessions, and in 6-8 weeks you will see the rewards.

a few handy cooking & shopping hints:

Limit your frying of food

Never use oil; always use Fry Light (this is only one calorie per spray)

Use low fat or virtually fat free dairy products

Always cook using non-stick pots and pans - this will enable you to cook perfectly with no need for oil

Always remove the fat and skin from all meats and poultry before cooking

Buy a griddle pan - this is a very healthy way of cooking as opposed to frying

Never go shopping when you are hungry

Always think positively, you CAN succeed


Drink lots of water. Aim to drink 8 glasses per day

Always read the ingredient labels on food products

Tell me if your motivation is slipping, so I can give you some moral support.

Always keep diet drink or low fat snacks in your kitchen. Do not buy it; then you can't eat it!

Only eat when you are hungry

Beware of low-fat brands and products, as they are not necessarily good for you

Do not weight yourself every day: lean muscle weighs more than body fat and the scales will only make you feel bad! Ask me to weigh you once a week or measure you, for a better indication of success. Remember you can only lose ½lb-2lbs of body fat per week. Anything over this will be fluid or lean tissue not fat

Don't worry if you have a bad day or week - everyone does

Remember to be honest in your food diary. You will be amazed how much writing everything down that you eat and drink will help

Remember: the realistic goals you set yourself at the start. You can reach them; and you will lose weight and tone up your body
